A voice from another era

The vibraphonette is a rare, smaller cousin of the vibraphone — this one built by Galanti, the storied Italian instrument house, decades ago, and still carried in its original case. Its aluminum bars produce a tone that is soft-edged and slow to fade: closer to a struck bell than a keyboard, closer to breath than to rhythm.

Played with felt mallets at meditative tempo, it fills a room without ever raising its voice. There is no amplification, no playback, no screen — only resonating metal, and the quiet attention it invites.
