Michael Caruso is a singer / songwriter and composer based in Ashland, Oregon. Originating on the stage as an actor and singer, Michael attended the Walnut Hill School of the Performing Arts as a theatre major. While creating original music for one of his theatre productions he began to shift his focus to songwriting. Michael has performed with and written songs for bands such as the roots country band One Horse Shy, the indie folk band Kites + Crows and the Americana history band The Meriwethers. Michael performs as a musician in theatrical productions at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival. Michael is now composing music and writing songs for advertising, TV, film and media. Michael founded the boutique music agency Magnetic West Music which offers custom composition, a licensing catalogue and music supervision. Michael studied music supervision with The Berklee College of Music. He now performs and records as Son Ravello. Michael is fascinated with how music supports the emotions of a story and is committed to the convergence of music and media. |
